9 things every girl should have in her handbag

Regardless of what people say, a handbag can make or break an outfit. A handbag should be spacious, classy and versatile. One of our favourites is this River Island statement bag which is reasonably priced at £45.
1. Pants- for either time of the month mishaps or when you've pulled wearing the wrong pair. Always keep a fresh pair tucked away at the bottom of your handbag.

2. Pen- for writing down your phone number to the hot man across the bar or more likely writing down your order for that sneaky Chinese, a pen is a bare essential in a girls handbag. I'm sure you'll be able to find it when that man walks over.

3. Make-up bag- keep the contents simple, it's only for touch ups. We recommend foundation, mascara and a lipstick all brought together in a compact and colourful bag.

4. Bottle of water- it's perfect for your skin, cheap and keeps you hydrated on those busy working days.

5. Purse- I suppose you could say this is the most important thing in the contents of your handbag. We like big, chunky and cheap. You can't go wrong with a Primark purse, the less you spend the more you'll have to put in there.

6. Sanitary towels/tampons- these are a must have in every girls handbag (unless you're on the menapores.) It's all good and well knowing what day your going to come on but you never know what time. We keep ours in this cute case from body form. 

 

7. Two in one perfume and lipstick- this is an absolute life saver when you've been at work all day and end up getting asked for a cheeky drink by the hot boy in accounts. (Unfortunately this is a hyperthetical situation that has never occurred...yet). We recommend this one by Juicy Couture, not only is the perfume super fresh but the lipstick is guaranteed to last all night.

8. I-pad- yes these are expensive but they are life savers when it comes to organising your hectic schedule, snapping up pictures of those girls nights out and playing on Candy Crush. The I-pad mini is the perfect size for your handbag. 

9. Hair grips and bobbles- these are always handy for hair emergencies and them laid back Friday afternoons. Keep your handbag well stocked up with both grips and hair bobbles. 

These are the bare essentials girls, don't forget the likes of condoms, deodorant and chargers for those nights when you accidentally don't make it home.
